TENTAL - Structural glazing

Key Features

Capless facade design with high-performance engineering and circular aluminium innovation

The TECHNAL TENTAL structural glazing system (toggle variation) is designed to deliver a fully flush, uninterrupted glass facade, eliminating visible aluminium and external caps for a refined architectural finish. Using concealed toggle fixings, glazing units are mechanically secured back to the structure, creating a clean, minimalist aesthetic while maintaining robust performance.

Available on the TENTAL 50 and 60 platform, the system supports large-format glazing, high insulation performance, and integration with opening elements for ventilation, ensuring a balance between design freedom and functional performance.

Engineered in line with European facade standards, the system is tested for weather resistance, durability, and structural integrity, making it suitable for complex commercial applications across the UK and Ireland.

Made with Hydro CIRCAL® aluminium, containing a minimum of 75% recycled end-of-life material, TENTAL supports low embodied carbon facade design and circular construction principles.

Seamless Structural Glazing

The Structural Glazing variant uses concealed toggle connections to fix glass units back to the curtain wall structure, removing the need for external caps or visible framing. This creates an uninterrupted glass surface, maximising visual clarity and architectural intent.

Minimal Sightlines, Maximum Transparency

By eliminating external aluminium and silicone joints, the system delivers a true all-glass facade appearance, enhancing daylight penetration and strengthening the connection between the interior and exterior environments.

High-Performance Building Envelope

The TENTAL platform supports thermal, acoustic, and weather performance aligned with EN standards with glazing options up to 68mm and compatibility with high-performance insulated glass units.

Carbon-Conscious Solution

TENTAL is made with at least 75% recycled content and is 95% recyclable, reducing its environmental impact. Made with Hydro CIRCAL® 75R (at least 75% recycled, end-of-life aluminium) as standard, the CO²e footprint of 1.9 kg CO² eq / kg Al. is around 80% lower than the European average emissions for primary aluminium production.

Sustainability Information

Supporting lower carbon facade design without compromise

TENTAL facades help to reduce embodied carbon through the use of Hydro CIRCAL® aluminium (≥75% recycled content) and a design approach focused on circularity. With 95% recyclable components and compatibility with BREEAM and whole-life carbon strategies, TENTAL supports more sustainable facade design across UK and Ireland projects.

Reduced CO² footprint

Using Hydro CIRCAL© aluminium (1.9 kg CO2e/kg of Al.) allows 80% reduction of CO2 emissions vs the European average for primary aluminium. Ask for your dynamic Environment Product Declaration (EPD).

75% recycled material

Our products are made with at least 75% recycled components and materials including aluminium, EPDM, and polyamide.

95% recyclable

TENTAL is made with 95% recyclable materials. When we design our products, we take into account their disassembly and re-use at the end of their lifecycle.

Other Certifications

TENTAL 60 holds Cradle to Cradle certified Silver status, and both TENTAL 50 and 60 facades can be configured to meet Passive House performance standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Structural glazing is a facade method where glass is fixed to the supporting structure using concealed fixing or bonding, rather than external pressure plates or caps. This creates a flush external surface with minimal visible framing.

  • In the TENTAL structural glazing variant, glass units are mechanically fixed using concealed toggle connectors embedded within the system, allowing loads to be transferred back to the structure while maintaining a capless external appearance.

  • Toggle systems offer:

    • Cleaner sightlines with no visible external framing
    • Mechanical fixing solution (alternative to bonded silicone systems)
    • Improved installation and replacement efficiency compared to fully bonded systems
  • Yes. Structural glazing curtain wall systems are widely used in UK and Irish commercial construction to deliver high-performance, weather-resistant building envelopes with large glazed areas and contemporary design aesthetics.

  • TENTAL is made with Hydro CIRCAL® recycled aluminium and is designed for circularity and disassembly, helping reduce embodied carbon and support sustainable building certifications.

  • Yes. The system allows for integrated opening vents that maintain the clean facade aesthetic while enabling natural ventilation.
