TENTAL - Integrated Openings

Key Features

With TENTAL, not only you can imagine the world you want, you can build it too.

TENTAL Integrated Openings are designed to bring together facade design and functionality in one cohesive system - supporting architects, facade consultants and contractors across the UK and Ireland.

As part of the TENTAL facade platform, the system enables a wide range of window and roof vent solutions to be incorporated directly into the curtain wall. This allows opening elements to sit seamlessly within the facade while maintaining consistent sightlines and a clean external appearance.

With a focus on performance, buildability and sustainability, TENTAL helps project teams deliver modern facades that meet evolving building regulations, ventilation strategies and whole-life carbon targets.

Seamless facade integration

Designed to maintain consistency across the building envelope, even with openable elements - Integrated windows and roof vents within the curtain wall system - Clean, uniform sightlines across fixed and opening elements - Flexible arrangement of openings alongside fixed glazing

Reliable performance & quality

A robust system engineered for long-term durability in demanding environments. - Available in variable frame depths to enhance thermal performance - Suitable for double and triple glazed units (up to 52mm) - High levels of air, wind and weather performance - Proven system integrity across a wide range of building types

Ventilation and safety built in

Supporting modern building design focused on occupant wellbeing and compliance. - Integrated top-hung vents and roof windows - Suitable for natural ventilation strategies - Compatible with NSHEV (Natural Smoke and Heat Exhaust Ventilation) requirements - Motorised opening options available

Carbon-Conscious Solution

TENTAL is made with at least 75% recycled content and is 95% recyclable, reducing its environmental impact. Made with Hydro CIRCAL® 75R (at least 75% recycled, end-of-life aluminium) as standard, the CO²e footprint of 1.9 kg CO² eq / kg Al. is around 80% lower than the European average emissions for primary aluminium production.

    Sustainability Information

    Reduced CO² footprint

Using Hydro CIRCAL© aluminium (1.9 kg CO2e/kg of Al.) allows 80% reduction of CO2 emissions vs the European average for primary aluminium. Ask for your dynamic Environment Product Declaration (EPD).

    75% recycled material

Our products are made with at least 75% recycled components and materials including aluminium, EPDM, and polyamide.

    95% recyclable

TENTAL is made with 95% recyclable materials. When we design our products, we take into account their disassembly and re-use at the end of their lifecycle.

    Other Certifications

TENTAL 60 holds Cradle to Cradle certified Silver status, and both TENTAL 50 and 60 facades can be configured to meet Passive House performance standards.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    • Integrated openings are operable windows or vents built directly into a curtain wall system, allowing ventilation and access without disrupting the facade’s appearance or performance.

    • They combine aesthetic consistency with functionality, improve ventilation, simplify specification and reduce the need for multiple systems on a project.

    • Yes, the system is designed to meet key UK and Ireland requirements, including weather performance, structural integrity and ventilation strategies with compatibility with NSHEV applications.

    • Yes, TENTAL Integrated Openings are suitable for a wide range of applications, including high-rise developments across residentials, commercial and mixed-use sectors.

The system is developed to deliver reliable structural performance and weather resistance in exposed conditions, making it well suited to the demands of taller buildings. Integrated openings can be configured to meet project-specific ventilation strategies while maintaining facade consistency.

For high-rise and residential applications, opening limiters can be incorporated to help restrict opening sizes and reduce the risk of falls. This supports compliance with relevant building regulations and safety guidance, particularly where occupant safety and controlled ventilation are key considerations.

    • Yes, TENTAL Integrated Openings can be supplied with motorised operation, enabling seamless integration with building management systems (BMS) and automated control strategies.

Motorised vents can be used to support natural ventilation, night cooling and smoke ventilation, with opening and closing controlled automatically based on environmental conditions such as temperature, CO2 levels or occupancy. This allows buildings to operate more efficiently while improving occupant comfort.

Integration with BMS also enables centralised control and monitoring, helping facilities managers optimise performance, reduce energy use and maintain compliance with ventilation and safety strategies.
