TENTAL - Sloped Glazing

Key Features

With TENTAL, not only you can imagine the world you want, you can build it too.

Developed to inspire architectural innovation, the TENTAL sloped glazing system offers design flexibility for inclined facades and glazed roofs. It accommodates glazing thicknesses from 6mm to 62mm and supports inclinations as shallow as 10° from horizontal.

With 50 or 60mm sightlines and a mullion-transom assembly, our sloped glazing option delivers seamless integration, maximising light and spatial openness while maintaining a clean, elegant aesthetic.

Engineered for versatility and performance, it supports circular design through responsible material use, easy disassembly, and high recycled content. Integrated roof windows enhance natural ventilation and energy efficiency.

Achieve bold, sustainable architecture with a system that balances form, function, and long-term value.

Versatile Design

This TENTAL sloped option accommodates glazing down to 10° from the horizontal, offering architects and specifiers greater flexibility when designing inclined facades or glazed roof structures. Available in 50 and 60mm profiles, it delivers robust structural performance, while a range of aluminium cover caps enhance the external aesthetic, ensuring a clean, modern look that meets the demands of contemporary commercial architecture.

Reliable Quality

The durable mullion-transom structure delivers long-term structural stability for sloped glazing. Capable of accommodating glazing thicknesses from 6mm to 62mm secured using pressure plates or targeted fixings, it enhances overall system performance, supporting superior weather resistance, thermal insulation, and energy efficiency for commercial building envelopes.

Ventilation and Comfort

Integrated top-hung roof windows support natural ventilation while doubling as Natural Smoke and Heat Exhaust Ventilators (NSHEVs), contributing to healthier indoor air quality and improved safety compliance. Available in sizes up to 2.5m x 1.2m and a maximum weight of 160kg, they combine design flexibility with high-performance functionality for modern commercial environments.

Carbon-Conscious Solution

TENTAL is made with at least 75% recycled content and is 95% recyclable, reducing its environmental impact. Made with Hydro CIRCAL® 75R (at least 75% recycled, end-of-life aluminium) as standard, the CO²e footprint of 1.9 kg CO² eq / kg Al. is around 80% lower than the European average emissions for primary aluminium production.

Sustainability Information

Supporting lower carbon facade design without compromise

TENTAL facades help to reduce embodied carbon through the use of Hydro CIRCAL® aluminium (≥75% recycled content) and a design approach focused on circularity. With 95% recyclable components and compatibility with BREEAM and whole-life carbon strategies, TENTAL supports more sustainable facade design across UK and Ireland projects.

Reduced CO² footprint

Using Hydro CIRCAL© aluminium (1.9 kg CO2e/kg of Al.) allows 80% reduction of CO2 emissions vs the European average for primary aluminium. Ask for your dynamic Environment Product Declaration (EPD).

75% recycled material

Our products are made with at least 75% recycled components and materials including aluminium, EPDM, and polyamide.

95% recyclable

TENTAL is made with 95% recyclable materials. When we design our products, we take into account their disassembly and re-use at the end of their lifecycle.

Other Certifications

TENTAL 60 holds Cradle to Cradle certified Silver status, and both TENTAL 50 and 60 facades can be configured to meet Passive House performance standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The TENTAL Sloped Glazing system is an aluminium curtain wall solution designed for inclined or roof glazing applications, allowing architects to create glazed roofs, atriums and angled facade while maintaining high thermal performance and structural integrity.

  • Sloped glazing refers to glass structures installed at an angle rather than vertically, commonly used for rooflights, atriums and glazed canopies. These systems must handle additional loads such as water drainage, wind and structural stress.

  • TENTAL Sloped Glazing is ideal for:

    • Atriums and glass roofs
    • Commercial entrance canopies
    • Retail and leisure spaces
    • Public buildings requiring natural light

It enables large glazed areas that enhance light and architectural impact.

  • The system supports:

    • Flat and inclined glazing configurations
    • Integration with vertical facade systems
    • Large glass panels with slim profiles
    • Clean, modern architectural lines

This allows seamless transitions between roof glazing and facade design.

  • Yes. The system is designed to integrate with other products in the TECHNAL range, including:

    • Vertical curtain wall systems
    • SOLEAL Next Windows and Doors
    • Sliding door systems

This ensures a cohesive building envelope across vertical and sloped elements.

  • TENTAL Sloped Glazing is engineered to handle:

    • Increased wind and snow loads
    • Glass weight distribution
    • Water drainage requirements

TENTAL uses robust aluminium profiles and connection systems to ensure safe and reliable load transfer.

  • TENTAL Sloped Glazing incorporates controlled drainage paths and sealing systems to efficiently manage rainwater, preventing water ingress and maintaining long-term performance.

  • The system is made with Hydro CIRCAL® aluminium with at least 75% recycled end-of-life content, helping reduce embodied carbon while supporting circular construction practices.

  • Yes. It’s a combination of:

    • Recycled post-consumer aluminium
    • High thermal performance
    • Compatibility with energy-efficient glazing
    • 95% recyclable at end-of-life
    • Designed for disassembly

This makes the TENTAL Sloped Glazing solution suitable for low-carbon, BREEAM, net-zero and circular building strategies.

  • Sloped glazing systems provide:

    • Maximum daylight penetration
    • Enhancing building aesthetics
    • Strong architectural features such as atriums and rooflights

They are widely used to create open, light-filled commercial spaces.

    • Sloped glazing: Installed at an angle, requires enhanced drainage and structural performance
    • Vertical curtain walling: Installed upright, primarily handles wind loads

Sloped systems are typically used for roof glazing and architectural features rather than full facades.
