Sustainability

At TECHNAL we believe we have the responsibility and the ability to tackle today’s and tomorrow’s most burning issue: climate change.

A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO SUSTAINABILITY

Preserving resources and limiting the impact of our activities on the environment are all societal issues that are sources of our commitment. At each stage, from the design to the manufacture of our products, we are committed to sustainable construction. This requires a more responsible use of recycled resources, the implementation of renewable energies, the recycling of raw materials, a global approach to eco-design and continuous improvement.

ACTING NOW TO REDUCE OUR CO2 FOOTPRINT BY -50% BY 2025 VS. 2018

/ METAL SOURCING CO2 EMISSIONS -50%: The material we use, aluminium, is infinitely recyclable by nature. That's why we mostly use recycled aluminium.

/ COMPONENTS SOURCING CO2 EMISSIONS -40%: Components are also part of the game: we selected recycled polyamide.

/ PRODUCTION & SITE CO2 EMISSIONS -15%: By reducing and optimizing our energy consumption and by investing in greener, renewable energy, we have been drastically reducing our energy consumption per processed Ton since 2018.

/ PACKAGING & TRANSPORT CO2 EMISSIONS -50%: By optimising our packaging, we reduced by 8 times its carbon footprint. Additionally, thanks to improved truck technology, fuel changes, distance reduction and route optimization, we managed to deliver more efficiently saving emissions.

/ WORKPLACE CO2 EMISSIONS -50%: We improve our impact by tackling our individual behaviours: online trainings, home offices, waste sorting and reduction.

TECHNAL PRODUCTS: 75% RECYCLED, 95% RECYCLABLE

Custodians of the know-how of the international leader in aluminium production HYDRO, we go even further by offering our joinery ranges in two types of low-carbon aluminium:

/ RECYCLED ALUMINIUM "CIRCAL", composed of at least 75% recycled content from end-of-life joinery.

/ LOW-CARBON ALUMINIUM, manufactured using renewable energies (hydroelectric, wind and solar) with a carbon footprint of 4 kg per kg of aluminium produced, 4.5 times lower than the global average for primary aluminium.
