In 2024, Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC) recognised Hydro CIRCAL aluminium as Sustainable Building Material of the Year, reinforcing a powerful truth: meaningful sustainability in construction is not a promise for tomorrow. It is happening today.

Why Hydro CIRCAL Matters
The built environment is responsible for nearly 40 percent of global CO₂ emissions, and material choice plays a decisive role in reducing that impact. Aluminium, when produced responsibly, becomes part of the solution.
Hydro CIRCAL is a premium low-carbon aluminium made using a minimum of 75 percent post-consumer recycled aluminium, sourced from real end-of-life products such as windows, façades, and automotive components. Each batch is fully traceable, audited, and documented, setting a new benchmark for transparency in the construction industry.
The result is one of the lowest carbon footprints in the world for aluminium, reaching as low as 1.9 kg CO₂ per kg of aluminium for Hydro CIRCAL 75R, and 0.5 kg CO₂ per kg for Hydro CIRCAL 100R, compared to the global average.
