Address Sky View, UAE

Located in the heart of Dubai, the Address Sky View is one of the city’s most recognizable architectural landmarks. Designed by the international architecture firm NORR, the development consists of two elegant towers connected by a dramatic cantilevered Sky Bridge overlooking Downtown Dubai.

The project’s distinctive geometry, defined by curved volumes and the iconic void between the towers, required a façade solution capable of following complex architectural lines while maintaining a sleek and continuous exterior appearance.

The result is a refined glass façade that reflects the surrounding skyline and contributes to the building’s strong visual identity within Dubai’s evolving urban landscape.

Architectural Challenge

One of the defining characteristics of Address Sky View is the building’s complex geometry. The façade follows a series of concave and convex curves, creating a dynamic architectural form.

To achieve this design intent, the façade system had to accommodate multiple angular variations across the building envelope while maintaining visual consistency and structural performance.

The engineering challenge was to create a façade capable of adapting to these variations without multiplying the number of aluminium profiles, which would increase complexity in fabrication and installation.

In addition, the façade had to meet the high structural and wind resistance requirements typical of high-rise developments in Dubai.

TECHNAL Façade Solution

To meet the architectural and technical requirements of the project, we developed a customized façade solution based on the TECHNAL unitised curtain wall system.

The system was engineered to accommodate the building’s curved geometry by introducing six modular aluminium profiles capable of responding to eleven different façade angles. This modular strategy allowed the façade to adapt to the complex building shape while maintaining a streamlined system design.

By optimizing the number of profiles, the solution simplified fabrication and installation while ensuring a continuous and visually coherent façade surface.

The curtain wall also integrates a customized concealed SOLEAL balcony doors, seamlessly incorporated within the glazed façade. This integration allows balcony access without interrupting the architectural rhythm of the envelope.
