TECHNAL to share sustainability knowledge at AJ Summit

3/10/2021

Architects, designers and specifiers can discover how sustainable aluminium solutions will help to harvest green building scheme points and credits when TECHNAL speaks at the AJ Summit hosted online by Architects' Journal on 25th March 2021 at 1:30pm

The AJ Summit 2021 will focus on how architects and their industry colleagues can respond to the climate emergency by embracing the carbon agenda and the principles of a circular economy. The CPD accredited event will present an opportunity for architects to learn how to incorporate climate-responsible working methods into their everyday practice.

Jean-Marc Moulin Sustainability Director for Hydro Extrusions, parent company to TECHNAL, will be speaking at the event entitled Sustainable Architectural Aluminium with TECHNAL – The environmental benefits of choosing aluminium products, now and in the future.

He explains why he believes architects and other interested parties in the construction industry will benefit from attending, saying: “Aluminium is a permanent material that can be recycled over and over without losing any of its characteristics and has a high recycling rate in the construction industry. We believe it is important to highlight what the current Green Building Schemes are and how sustainable aluminium solutions can help architects, designers and specifiers meet those environmental credentials.

“Sustainability can be complex and seminars like this will help architects discover the future of recycling and the meaning behind terms such as pre- and post-consumer scrap. It will also be useful in understanding what products are available on the market and how to identify high-quality materials.”

To meet the growing demand for more sustainable products on all building projects, all TECHNAL UK windows, doors, sliding systems and facades are now produced with Hydro CIRCAL® 75R - the high-quality recycled aluminium, or Hydro REDUXA® - a certified low-carbon aluminium.
