The selection of a sustainable façade system from architectural aluminium specialist TECHNAL satisfies the requirement to deliver a sustainable and energy efficient building for the University of Bath’s Institute for Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems (IAAPS) – a new, world-class automotive propulsion research facility in Bristol, constructed to achieve BREEAM Very Good standard.

The contemporary, environmental, and elegant architecture of the building is favored with TECHNAL® GEODE curtain walls and SOLEAL doors and windows. The peristyle façade integrates into the wooden framework as TECHNAL® aluminium frames allow for optimal light entry and fine enhancement of the new hall.

Putting sustainable construction at its core, the first Enterprise Zone office development at Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park (LUSEP) features TECHNAL aluminium curtain walling made from Hydro CIRCAL® , which uses a minimum of 75% post-consumer recycled aluminium. The OECO ARCHITECTES has imagined a volumetric building in an heterogeneous urban context in the city. The architecture agency chose to use aluminium solutions from TECHNAL.
