In a dynamic era of environmental awareness and innovation, TECHNAL, a prominent member of the Norwegian aluminum group Norsk Hydro, is at the forefront of transforming the construction industry. With an unwavering commitment to sustainability, TECHNAL has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by significantly reducing the carbon footprint of its aluminum building systems. Their Hydro CIRCAL 75R, a premium-quality recycled aluminum, now boasts an astonishingly low carbon footprint of just 1.9 kg of CO2e per kg of aluminum, marking a remarkable 88% reduction compared to the global average. Accelerating their commitment to sustainable development, TECHNAL part of Hydro, has become the first aluminium building system companies to manufacture door, window and curtain walling profiles from 100% recycled aluminium - Hydro CIRCAL 100R. The new recycled material is produced from 100% post-consumer aluminium. This means it is possible to specify profiles with a near-zero carbon footprint (0.5kg of CO2e/kg of aluminium on average) - the lowest in the world.

Façade brings a personality to a building besides embodying the building a character and making it live. It also gives a good impression of the building to an onlooker. But for the façade contractor or the architect, it’s necessary that they get the façade right the first time. They don’t get a second chance to make a first impression.
An efficient façade design is a seamless integration of architectural aesthetics, structural strength and sustainability.
Much thought needs to go into the design, materials and fabrication of the façade before one can call it complete and distinct.
Today, numerous novel materials have come into play to create breath-taking façades – glass, metal, stone cladding, wood, masonry walls, concrete, and mortar plaster, among others. However, the global stress today is on using materials that are sustainable and considers the welfare of the building and its inhabitants.
