Technal makes two new appointments to further strengthen its Business Development Team

Architectural aluminium glazing specialist, Technal, has made two new appointments to further strengthen its business development team.

John Higgs is now Regional Sales Manager for the South.  He takes responsibility for managing a team of territory managers for the area spanning from the Midlands to the South Coast, and including London.  He will also work closely with architects, and design and build contractors to develop specifications for Technal’s curtain walling, window and door systems in the South East.

John brings around 20 years’ experience in aluminium façade products to his new role, having worked for Technal as a territory manager for five years, with specifiers in a number of other roles, and as a contracts manager for a major fabricator.

Andy Pearson has taken up the position of Business Development Manager – Main Contractors.  He has also worked in the window and façade systems sector for around 20 years, which includes 18 years as business development manager for a leading fabricator of Technal products.

In this role – a new position – Andy will work closely with main contractors across the UK, setting up framework agreements.  He will assist in the auditing process to help Technal become a pre-approved supplier to more of the UK’s leading contractors, and will assist with design and specifications at tender stage, as well as help with any technical issues.

Technal has been a preferred supplier to Miller Construction and Shepherd Construction for a number of years.  New partnership arrangements have recently been put in place with Bovis Lend Lease, Carillion, Wilmot Dixon and BAM.

Technal, a Hydro Building Systems brand, continues to increase its market share in the UK year on year, and these new appointments will help meet current and future demand for its façade products.

As part of its expansion, Technal has also recently launched a revolutionary new low rise glazing system.  Ideal for education projects, MODAL is a rapid-build modular solution, which features a number of innovations to provide an unprecedented level of security, performance and thermal efficiency as standard, and reduced time on site.
