Capricorn Quay is a major part of the regeneration of Bristol City Docks, which takes advantage of an extra-ordinary 200m long waterside location. The scheme comprises two curved apartment buildings spanning up to five storeys, and contributes towards the Government’s policy of encouraging sustainable living in city centres.
Each of the 41 apartments is positioned to enjoy water views and lengthy periods of sun to the living rooms and balconies.
The stylish curved profiles of the FXi52 balcony doors complement the design of the apartment buildings, whilst an efficient flush polyamide thermal bridge provides excellent thermal performance. MC curtain walling spans four storeys to some areas of the buildings, and the windows specified were FXi46 side hung casements for easier cleaning.
