A wide choice of blades
Fixed blades for GEODE curtain wall or rooflight of 100 and 150mm. Horizontal installation as a canopy
or on rooflight. 4 positions to choose depending on the
positioning of the building: 15°, 30°, 45°,60°.
Single-piece elliptical blades from 100 to 300mm,
fixed or movable. Installation between supports or in
front of the supporting structure for a running strip.

Technal innovation & test Centre
a low energy building |
Dedicated to the Research and Development of Technal products and concepts, the I&T Centre
was designed to comply with European low energy building standards, which require a building
energy consumption of less than 50kW/m² per year (I&T Center = 45 kW/m² per year). Positioning,
envelope, solar protection, ventilation: I&T Centre has a global design integrating the latest
cutting-edge technologies and architectural features.
|
|
|
A green roof and a double-skinned envelope provide
a thermal inertia that offers more insulation.
The south-facing GEODE curtain wall made of
95% glass, rooflights and a number of wall openings
offer effective natural lighting. |
|
|
|
The summer comfort of the south-facing wall is
assured by motorized and programmable movable
brise-soleils, equipped with photovoltaic
modules.
Heating and ventilation are assured by a programmable
heat pump.
Motorized and programmable rooflights and bottom-
hung opening sashes ventilate and circulate
air through the building at night. |
In addition to the building’s energy performances, technicians, researchers and visitors agree
that its comfort is outstanding.

HBS North Africa builds on its team and its resources to provide a better service to the Maghreb countries. |
Established in June 2008, HBS North Africa, located in Casablanca in Morocco, provides
services to Technal customers in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. In March, Technal
International recruited Sébastien Briand as new manager, in order to implement a versatile
team and resources to measure up to the services expected by the company's expanding
customer base.
|
The team comprises Sébastien Briand as Area sales
Manager, Sonia Kazi-Tani in charge of specifiers and Saloua
Mir as Administration and Logistics Manager. All three are
very experienced in aluminium joinery and Sébastien Briand
has been working in the industry for 10 years.
This organisation relies on a permanent stock of brand
profiles and accessories allowing the manufacture of sliding
systems, casement windows and doors and, for projects,
on the technical support of the Technal International design
office.
In under two years, HBS North Africa has produced some
stunning aluminium and glass designs for Technal and its
customers. In Algeria, Technal and its partners supplied
armoured joinery, from the COBALT range, to several bank
branches and fitted out several car dealership showrooms*.
In Morocco, the Technal GEODE curtain wall was a popular
choice for the Sofitel Essaouira Hotel and the Michlifen Hotel,
in addition to other projects.
These projects are the first fruits of a long-term establishment
of Technal in the Maghreb. As Sébastien Briand
comments: "these three countries represent different markets
due to their culture, their economy and their product
and service needs. Knowledge of these specific local characteristics,
and Technal's International offer and expertise,
provide architects and design offices with product solutions
adapted to each project.”
